My Own Personal Transformation
My First Transformation: Believe it or not, I got teased and picked on my entire adolescent and teenage life for being skinny. I was so skinny in fact that I was nicknamed "beanpole." And I was always self-conscious of my thinness. The point I'm trying to make is that I wasn't happy with the way I looked, so I made the decision to do something about it and I completely transformed my body. I will soon post the-much-awaited pictures of me when I was a beanpole.
My Current Transformation: Recently I got to the point where although I was big and had muscle mass, I was also overweight with 20% body fat which included a spare tire. I was eating junk, overeating, and was not training my abdominals at all. I didn't like what I saw in the mirror and was tired of lugging around that extra weight. So, once again I had to step back and take a good look at myself and decide that I was going to do something about it instead of just thinking about it and putting it off until tomorrow. Unfortunately, it is difficult to see any difference in the pre-diet and current pictures of myself below. Check back for new pictures. | ![]() | ![]() |

BEFORE DIET PICTURES

(I apologize for how scary I look)
268 pounds at 20% body fat
214.5 pounds of lean mass/ 53.5 pounds fat

CURRENT PICTURES
As July 21 (17 weeks)
247 pounds at 15% body fat
210 pounds lean mass/ 37 pounds fat
Prognosis: Muscle-loss attributed to not training lower body at all. Remember that the legs are the largest muscle group in the body and should account for approximately 60% of your muscle mass. Therefore if you don't train them you stand to lose a larger amount of muscle mass than any other bodypart. If you do train them, you can gain significantly more muscle mass and therefore burn more total calories at rest.
